Production Manager Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team and be responsible for overseeing various aspects of production. As a Production Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and confirm production plans to ensure timely execution and quality standards are met.
  • Verify product delivery dates and manage any changes as required, balancing production with sales requirements.
  • Plan production tasks, monitor completion, and ensure effective coordination between departments.
  • Arrange and control production schedules to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Manage materials, track anomalies, and handle delivery date adjustments to maintain high-quality products.
  • Coordinate product sales, delivery, quality, and related matters to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between departments to achieve common goals.
  • Supervise and audit departmental 5S management practices to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Compile statistics and report quality anomalies and target achievements to senior management.
  • Oversee IE/QE engineers in addressing abnormal issues and implementing improvement measures to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Participate in regular quality review meetings to discuss performance, share best practices, and set new targets.
  • Review departmental goals and oversee implementation of improvement and training plans to develop employees' skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain communication and coordination with managers of other departments to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Plan and manage departmental resources effectively to optimize utilization and minimize waste.
  • Organize and provide skills and knowledge training for production personnel to enhance their capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and maintain up-to-date certifications to uphold the company's reputation for quality and excellence.
  • Oversee workplace health and safety (WSH) practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to protect employees' well-being and the company's reputation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree/diploma in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field to provide a strong foundation for the role.
  • Proven experience as a production manager in electronic components manufacturing, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and health and safety regulations to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to motivate and guide the team towards achieving common goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex challenges and make informed decisions quickly.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
