Job Title: Automotive Parts Inventory Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to oversee the management of our automotive parts inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of vehicle spare parts, inventory management systems, and pricing procedures.

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock turnover rates.
  • Analyze usage trends and forecast demand to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Review slow-moving inventory and recommend strategies to optimize stock turnover.
  • Plan and oversee parts procurement from local and overseas suppliers to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and lead times, following up to avoid delays in stock availability.
  • Sourcing new suppliers offering competitive pricing and high-quality parts.
  • Conduct market research on parts pricing and supplier networks to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate pricing and timely updates of cost and retail pricing in the system.
  • Regularly review and adjust profit margins based on market conditions.
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are processed and submitted to Finance on time.
  • Conduct monthly stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma holder with at least 5 years of experience in automotive parts management.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle spare parts, inventory management systems, and pricing procedures.
  • Resourceful in sourcing light vehicle spare parts from both local and overseas suppliers.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing a team.
  • Proficient in inventory software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
