Job Description:

The Pre-School Education Leader will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of our preschool programme, working closely with teachers and staff to achieve our goals. The key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Centre's Direction: Develop and implement strategies to achieve short- and long-term goals aligned with the centre's strategic thrusts.
  • Clarifying PCF's Mission and Values: Ensure all staff understand and embody the organisation's mission and values.
  • Setting Goals and Objectives: Collaborate with stakeholders to set achievable goals and objectives for the centre.
  • Networking and Collaboration: Foster partnerships among centre schools within the cluster to enhance performance and share best practices.
  • Operational Management: Work with the Admin & Accounts Team to manage day-to-day operations, including finance, human resources, and optimising financial resources.
  • Professional Development: Conduct learning needs analysis and recommend professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Enhancing Centre Image: Promote the centre's quality educational programmes, organisational excellence, and professionalism of teaching staff.
  • Supervising Teachers: Lead and support centre teachers to deliver a meaningful, engaging, child-centred curriculum in line with the ECDA ECE Framework.
  • Curriculum Leadership: Monitor children's achievement and development, using data-based trends to assess curriculum areas for improvement and growth.
  • HR Activities: Manage day-to-day HR activities, including recruitment, orientation, performance appraisal, and exit interviews.
  • Safe Learning Environment: Create a safe and conducive environment for children to learn and develop.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Diploma in Pre-school Education – Teaching (DPE-T) / Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (DECCE-T), or equivalent recognised by ECDA.
  • Leadership Qualities: Proven experience in leadership roles, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a preschool setting.
