At Careers@Gov, we are seeking a skilled Office of Staff Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping staff capability development and career development to meet our organisational needs.

As a key member of our team, you will spearhead initiatives to shape the talent and leadership development at Careers@Gov. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing career and leadership development frameworks and strategies to build our organisational and workforce capability.
  • Designing and developing programmes that support competency-driven growth in our staff. Conducting competency gaps analysis, designing and implementing learning and career development roadmaps, strategies, programmes and processes to develop and engage all levels of staff at Careers@Gov.
  • Adapting and implementing career and talent frameworks and initiatives introduced by Public Service Division (PSD).
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to plan and support delivery of learning and career development initiatives such as award of sponsorships, structured job rotations and leadership training programmes.
  • Participating in business process reviews to develop user-centric systems that support staff learning and development needs.
  • Overseeing administration matters, addressing staff queries and ensuring the smooth operation of training processes.
  • Supporting in preparing management reports and performing checks on training / sponsorship / claims etc.
  • Providing mentorship to junior team members, supervising daily activities and upholding high standards of work quality.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A relevant qualification in Human Resources or Business Management, or its related fields.
  • About eight to ten years of relevant work experience in Human Resource, with focus on Career and Leadership Development areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, management and writing skills.
  • A team player who is able to work independently, adapt in complex and ambiguous situations and comfortable with taking a hands-on approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, SharePoint) and digitally-proficient to learn the use of new learning tools.
  • Some experience with IT projects, Workday HCM, SAP HR, Robotics Process Automation, Chatbots and Macro programming will be advantageous.
