Job Overview

Become a vital member of a dynamic and innovative group at Micron, a leader in memory technology, where we prioritize our people, determination, creativity, customer-centricity, and teamwork. In the Planning Industrial Engineering (IE) division, we focus on capacity modeling for the fabrication facility to ensure timely procurement of tools that align with customer demand. In this position, you will maintain responsibility for essential data and critical planning metrics within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will collaborate closely with various teams across the organization to prepare information for scenario analyses and drive ongoing improvements to our plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure precise capacity modeling for the designated fabrication area
  • Implement industrial engineering principles in capacity assessment, line management, scheduling, and production planning
  • Utilize statistical methods to uphold and verify manufacturing capacity data
  • Design and manage projects across multiple departments
  • Collaborate with management to create applications aimed at continuously enhancing production metrics
  • Work alongside research & development and process engineering teams to strategize for future product launches
  • Analyze scenarios reflecting changes in modeling, conduct 'what if' analyses as necessary, and engage with Engineering and Production to comprehend the implications of these changes
  • Coordinate capital acquisitions and capacity adjustments with corporate planning and procurement
  • Partner with Area Managers to stay informed on area challenges, priorities, and initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong grasp of statistics and data analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Science, including scheduling, inventory management, and capacity modeling
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to collaborate openly and communicate clearly with colleagues
  • Proficient in problem-solving and addressing root causes
  • Basic programming knowledge is advantageous
