As a KYC Analyst at Pontoon Asia Pacific, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective onboarding of new clients and the management of existing relationships. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage a team of Front Office staff in their work processes and submissions, focusing on new client account onboarding. You will be the key point of contact for Front Office staff relating to client documentation and/or KYC-related matters.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations, account documentation, risk management, and AML/KYC procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring timely, complete, and accurate processing of account openings, including performing relevant controls, and escalating any discrepancies. You will also be responsible for reviewing all account opening and supporting documents, providing expert advice on documentation to Client Advisors, and performing name searches in approved search engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of account openings, including performing relevant controls
- Review all account opening and supporting documents
- Provide expert advice on documentation to Client Advisors
- Perform name searches in approved search engines
- Liaise with KYC/AML team/COO office as appropriate for account setup
- Monitor document deficiencies as per bank control procedures
- Train Front Office staff on legal documents and KYC-related subjects
- Escalate operational, regulatory, and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate
- Enhance client risk assessments and MIS reports for management reporting
- Understand and maintain Bank Global KYC/AML Standards, Account Documentation procedures, Local Laws, and Regulations
Requirements:
- Diploma/degree in Banking, Accountancy, or Business Administration or related discipline preferred
- Knowledgeable and experienced in operations, account documentation, risk management, and AML/KYC procedures
- Good knowledge of Know Your Client procedures
- Ability to develop a good knowledge of the customer base with sensitivity to specific customer needs
- Experience in team/stakeholder management preferred

- Team leader with ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships with all levels
