Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Early Childhood Care and Education Support Specialist to join our team at MY WORLD PRESCHOOL LTD.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and implementation of education programs for children aged two months to six years.
  • Model positive attributes and behaviors, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes children's growth and development.
  • Understand developmental milestones and emerging skills in early childhood, adhering to care-giving principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment where children feel valued and respected, with a focus on teaching and demonstrating our four core values.
  • Maintain a well-organized, safe, and clean learning environment, ensuring the health and safety of all children.
  • Plan and set up the learning environment to meet children's developmental needs, both as a group and individually.
  • Assist with routine care duties, such as supervising during transition periods, bathing, meal times, and nap times, helping new children settle-in.
  • Support educators in monitoring and supervising children in the classroom, on field trips, and other activities, or take charge of the class when the educator is occupied.
  • Interact with children during activities, providing various experiences and opportunities for learning, including songs, games, and storytelling.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with children, using language they can understand.
  • Assist educators in assessing and compiling individual children's development into reports for parents.
  • Report unusual situations, such as allergies, accidents, parental requests, and behavioral irregularities, to the educator or principal.
  • Provide administrative support for class record-keeping and communication books as required.
Requirements
  • Fundamental Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent (for Para Educarer)
  • Certificate in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (for Para Educator)
