As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily rubber molding operations across multiple work centers. Your primary responsibility will be to execute machine setups, ensuring correct mold configurations according to the bill of materials and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, schedule, and monitor production KPIs, including cycle time, downtime, mold changeover efficiency, and yield.
2. Enforce quality standards through regular product checks on specifications and tolerances.
3. Perform root cause analysis of molding defects (e.g., flash, shortflow, air traps) and coordinate corrective actions.
4. Collaborate with QA and engineering on first article validation and PFMEA processes.
5. Develop and improve molding and peeling processes to boost efficiency and precision.
6. Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce scrap, optimize material flow, and remove bottlenecks.
7. Monitor curing parameters such as temperature, pressure, and curing time to ensure batch consistency.
8. Recommend mold design improvements and tooling upgrades to enhance cycle times.
9. Manage production routing and costing.
10. Identify cost-saving opportunities by reducing scrap, rework, and cycle times.
11. Plan production orders to optimize workflows and maximize machine utilization for better productivity.
Requirements:
1. Minimum Diploma and above in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, preferably in Rubber Molding Operations.
3. Strong Experience in various molding and peeling processes.
