Lead Enterprise Data Architect

Spearhead the design and technical direction of our large-scale enterprise data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Visionary: Develop a comprehensive, long-term technical roadmap for the modernized enterprise big data platform, aligning with business objectives and leveraging AI capabilities.
  • Architectural Leadership: Lead the design and governance of robust, scalable, and secure end-to-end data solutions, establishing and enforcing architectural standards.
  • Team Development: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of experienced data architects and engineers, fostering growth and innovation.
  • Technology Innovation: Evaluate, prototype, and recommend new big data, cloud, and AI tools and frameworks to enhance platform capabilities and optimize costs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary technical advisor for product, engineering, and business leaders, translating complex business requirements into scalable technical designs and collaborating with IT and other components from a data perspective.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or software development, with at least 3 years in a principal architect or technical leadership role managing a team.
  • Architectural Expertise: Proven track record of designing, building, and operating large-scale, distributed data platforms in a cloud environment (AWS).
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Big Data Processing Frameworks: Expert-level knowledge of big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and real-time streaming technologies such as Apache Flink and Kafka.
    • Data Warehousing and Lakehouse Architectures: Deep expertise with modern data warehousing and lakehouse architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, ClickHouse).
    • Programming Languages: Strong command of at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java.
    • Workflow Orchestration Tools: Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
    • Data Visualization and Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with data visualization and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and inspire technical teams. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
