Equipment Maintenance Technician

The Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and improving the equipment within the company. This includes planning and performing tasks related to facilities, upgrading and repairing machinery and equipment, and conducting basic maintenance training on machinery and equipment for end users.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair works in the manufacturing environment. A Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) - Basic/Standard License (Grade 7) is an added advantage. You will be responsible for troubleshooting machinery malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance on machinery used in production department, and identifying and purchasing critical spares for preventive maintenance.

You will also identify probable causes of potential failure of machinery & equipment, arrange for preventive repair and replacement to minimize machine downtime, and maintain good housekeeping practices in maintenance work area and stores. Reviewing cleaning logs to ensure the facilities are cleaned on schedule and performing related duties as assigned are also key responsibilities.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 5 years working experience & knowledge in maintenance and repair works in the manufacturing environment
  • Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) - Basic/Standard License (Grade 7)
  • Knowledge of facilities management, including fire safety systems, wastewater systems (Chemical Line), cranes, and troubleshooting electrical issues
  • Highly motivated and able to work in a team and in a dynamic environment
  • Act with integrity and the highest ethical behaviour
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal employees and outside vendors
  • Working knowledge of CNC machines and equipment
  • Good awareness of Health, Safety and Environment and a safety mindset
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and troubleshooting skill
  • Good written and verbal communication skill

Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is required.
