Software Validation Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our Software Test team. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising the integration, verification, and validation activities for complex systems.

• Plan and execute IVV activities, ensuring seamless integration and validation of software components.
• Determine the optimal test strategy, modules, and practices to meet project requirements.
• Create and conduct system test plans and reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with project engineering managers to align testing efforts with project goals.
• Effectively manage test resources and defects, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
• Cordinate activities with global teams, fostering open communication and collaboration.
• Participate in bid activities, providing scope and costing expertise to support project proposals.
• Lead a small team of engineers, guiding them to deliver high-quality results and meet project expectations.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Verification/Validation, with a strong background in software engineering integration.
• Expertise in defect reporting, characterization, and management workflows, as well as common defect management tools.
• Ability to read and interpret requirement documentation, using common requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or Polarion).
• Strong project management and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Creativity in detecting and provoking possible problems, with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience with common test practices (functional tests, user scenario tests, automation), including writing test cases and working with software APIs.
• Comfortable with handling and performing basic troubleshooting on IT software & hardware.

• Minimum 8 years of comprehensive experience in software engineering integration, verification, or validation.
• Managing a small team to align engineering efforts with V&V goals, reviewing output, and organizing the team to ensure timely delivery.
• Experience leading the delivery of complex, large-scale government projects, with a focus on integration and validation.
• Expertise in integrating software systems, coordinating internal and external activities, and collaborating with clients, developers, and stakeholders to identify system requirements.
• Working experience with open-source configuration management and deployment tools, such as Puppet, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux scripting.
• Understanding of software development methods and electrical/mechanical design principles.
• User Interfaces, Networking, wireless, and/or communication systems test experience, software APIs.
