Overview
The Singapore Institute of Technology is seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team in the field of Biological Sciences.
Job Summary
We are looking for a talented individual to fill this role, which involves conducting research and providing guidance to undergraduate students.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfill primary responsibilities within the project by delivering structured presentations of research plans and findings every two weeks, providing guidance and mentorship to undergraduate students working in the same research field, preparing scientific manuscripts for reporting and potential publication, preparing write-ups for new research grant applications, conducting thorough risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to work, safety, and health regulations for all research activities, coordinating procurement activities with licensed vendors for research items.
- Have at least 1 year experience with the cultivation of mammalian cells, have at least 1 year experience with the use of bioreactors, HPLC-MS, GC-MS, flow cytometry, and/or fluorescent microscopy, prior experience in the red/white blood cell cultivation is advantageous.
Requirements
- A relevant PhD degree in Biological Sciences, Bioprocess Engineering or equivalent.
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with people within and external to the university, self-directed learner who believes in continuous learning and development, proficient in technical writing and presentation, possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrate strong commitment, leadership, and independence.
Estimated Salary: SGD 80,000 - SGD 120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
