Financial Operations Specialist Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a full range of financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with current accounting practices and principles. This includes daily financial management, cost control, audit, inventory control, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage full range of financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with current accounting practices and principles
  • Responsible for daily financial management, cost control, audit, inventory control, and asset management
  • Ensure updating of all financial transactions with speed and accuracy
  • Responsible for cost centre management such as cost allocation analysis
  • Establish and manage the rate chart and chargeback model for recovering costs through internal processes
  • Assist manager in preparing financial reports and to ensure timely submission of monthly accounts and management reports
  • Provide financial support and analysis to business units/commercial team
  • Monitor sales and accounting of all money collections
  • Intercompany reconciliation with counterparts by investigating and resolving differences
  • Assist to formulate and review group operating policies with the ultimate objective of improving the internal control system and practices and standardization of operating procedures for greater transparency, efficiency, and resource utilization
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in a tax efficient and effective manner
  • Compliance with all business and financial controls required to minimize operational and financial risks
  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting control procedures
  • Performing & implementation of SOX relevant controls
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, SFRS, and US GAAP (advantage)
  • Ability to perform consolidation is advantageous
  • To perform any ad-hoc reports and jobs as and when requested by the supervisor
