Sustainability & Compliance Specialist

About the Role:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Sustainability & Compliance Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring compliance with global sustainability standards and chemical management regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or business, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date on RBA standards, industry best practices, and regulatory changes, and communicate requirements to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including policies, procedures, audit reports, and training materials.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal RBA training sessions and awareness programs.
  • Plan and execute internal audits, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Support RBA self-assessments and manage logistics for customer and third-party audits.
  • Develop and track corrective action plans based on audit findings.
  • Organize and document RBA Management Review meetings.

Chemical Management System Oversight:

  • Liaise with HQ and Division Quality Control teams to align CMS standards and practices within our organization.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CMS documentation, including chemical inventories, safety data sheets, and compliance records.
  • Disseminate CMS requirements and expectations across departments.
  • Assist in planning and delivering CMS-related training and awareness initiatives.
  • Provide first-level support for CMS-related issues.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to chemical safety, environmental compliance, and process improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across functions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
