Job Title: Resident Project Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Resident Project Officer to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and track progress of onsite builder's and interior fitting-out works, including MEP services, and the renewal of finishes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Provide onsite supervision of ongoing projects to maintain quality and ensure work is within time and cost constraints.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout construction and installation activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to uphold health & safety measures, ensuring adequate safety precautions, quality control, and adherence to approved methods and design specifications.
  • Collaborate with contractors, specialists, suppliers, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Attend site meetings, inspections, and testing/commissioning of systems and services.
  • Monitor and update management on project progress, including planned vs actual costs, and report incidents or findings.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for personnel involved in projects.
  • Review, assess, and comment on contractors' submissions, including risk assessments, method statements, samples of materials, and As-Built Drawings.
  • Carry out administrative duties as required by management.
  • Review and check design or tender drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain project/site records through rollcall and site photos.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Civil & Structural/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Proficient in Autocad and able to interpret/update drawings.
  • Good knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Proficiency in project management and construction supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry will be an advantage.
