Job Overview

This is a contract role for 1-2 years, subject to renewal. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping our environmental strategy and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage a country-wide environmental strategy, engaging with key stakeholders and tracking environmental performance improvements within CRES teams and the Business.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that environmental considerations are embedded in key business processes, including Capital Projects, Sourcing, etc.
  • Lead the implementation of an Environmental Management System within the region, develop and implement regional-level environmental controls, and support local certification activity.
Reporting and Communication

You will coordinate the gathering of data for environmental performance reporting, develop detailed reporting at a country level, and establish an APAC-wide environmental plan.

Culture and Engagement

You will foster a culture of communication and joined-up thinking regarding environmental matters across CRES teams and functions, support environmental training development, and coordinate regional content for the CRES environmental intranet site.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Environmental Management or a relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience in a full-time environmental role with regional exposure.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental legislation and experience in practical implementation.
  • Exposure to various environmental green initiatives, procurement, and renewable energy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
