Job Summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Satellite Communication systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with integrated systems consisting of electrical, mechanical, and electronic subsystems in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Perform workshop bench tests to diagnose faulty Radio Frequency and baseband equipment using common engineering tools and support test equipment.
  • Develop and write technical documentation, including Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) for Radio Frequency and baseband equipment.
  • Produce high-quality technical documents, such as work instructions and manuals.
  • Utilize support test equipment, including multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and power meters, to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Operate simple tools and equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Analyze and understand Radio Frequency Engineering drawings and Electrical circuits.
  • Support overseas exercises and deployments as required.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Engineering in Electrical/Electronics and Communication/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of maintenance/operating experience on Satellite Communication systems or with Alcatel/Cisco switch and router networking and Information Technology administration experience.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and systems.
  • Strong leadership and self-motivation skills.
  • Class 3 driving license is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work on a rotational basis and be on standby/recall duties as required.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice.
