About the Role

SUNSTAR STEEL PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Contract Cost Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts are managed effectively and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
  • Scrutinize maintenance and material costs to ensure the best deals;
  • Liaise with site supervisors, clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution;
  • Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents to support project delivery;
  • Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies to enhance project outcomes;
  • Maintain accurate records of materials and ordering more when required;
  • Document any changes in design and update budgets accordingly;
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders;
  • Travel from the office to various sites as required;
  • Prepare cost plans and cost reports for construction projects;
  • Liaise with contractors to process progress payments, variation orders, and final accounts;
  • Update accounts and ensure proper documentation;
  • Communicate with management, contractors, and subcontractors on adjustments to cost estimates;
  • Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent;
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position;
  • Required skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD;
  • Preferably an experienced candidate specialized in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $120,000 per annum.
