About the Role

This is a senior level position responsible for managing trade operations and transaction processing. The ideal candidate will have experience in banking, international trade, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage trade operations and transaction processing with prompt and decisive resolution of exceptions encountered.
  • Perform pre-processing review of customers' submissions and documentary checks of shipping documents, Back-to-Back LCs and Transfer LCs.
  • Identify documentary discrepancies, transactional exceptions, and/or non-compliance with regulations, informing the Department Head promptly of any unusual or exceptional activities.
  • Process and approve transactions in Bank's trade processing system.
  • Evaluate regulatory compliance, bank policies, SOPs, guidelines, controls, and requirements.
  • Cultivate operational efficiency through effective risk management.
  • Assist the Department Head on human resource planning, development, staff management, and skill improvement to maintain departmental efficiency.
  • Participate in/Lead Bank's productivity and service-related initiatives/projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of trade operations experience in banking, covering all areas of international trade.
  • Proficient knowledge of UCP, ISBP, URC, ISP, URDG, and MT SWIFT messages.
  • CDCS Qualified is an advantage.
  • Experience in structured trade finance operations is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and clear communication.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
  • Added advantage for speaking Cantonese/Mandarin.
