Job Title: Hydraulic System Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic System Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the oil and gas rig activation industry, you will be responsible for servicing hydraulic systems, repairing activities, and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Servicing hydraulic systems in winches, mooring systems, hose reels, HPU, valve units, cranes, elevators, and other equipment
  • Repairing site hydraulic system issues and supervising commissioning responsibility, pressure testing, leak testing, hydro testing, and commissioning checklists
  • Overhauling hydraulic winches, motors, power steering gears, dredging cutter motors, and valves and pumps
  • Assisting in project planning, preparing progress reports, and handling claims as needed
  • Interpreting construction and technical drawings, coordinating with the engineering team to address technical inquiries
  • Conducting material take-offs, evaluating vendor quotations, and considering technical and commercial aspects
  • Preparing method statements and risk assessments for various installation tasks
  • Developing monthly work schedules and setting productivity targets
  • Maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity within the oil and gas rig activation industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering, procurement, project controls, and repair work processes
