About the Role

Munich Re is seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Data Analyst to join its Digital Solutions and Propositions Innovations team in Singapore. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing initial analysis of data provided by clients, collaborating with data scientists to evaluate the status quo, and providing technical support during risk implications exercises.

Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct data analysis to support data analytics projects, working closely with the data scientist team to evaluate the status quo.
  • Provide analysis to support or validate findings from the data scientist team and communicate findings to stakeholders as required.
  • Develop methodologies, cash flow projections, and scenarios testing to support risk implications exercises.
  • Design and validate monitoring dashboards to ensure accuracy prior to delivery to clients.
  • Lead or support monitoring of analytics projects post-implementation, flagging any adverse trends and liaising with clients on issues investigation.
  • Provide technical inputs and drive process optimization/automation relating to risk quantification.
  • Support any deliverables required as per ad-hoc requests from clients.
Your Profile
  • Associate of a recognized actuarial body (ASA) or pre-Associate and actively taking actuarial exams.
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance or reinsurance.
  • Excellent technical and analytical expertise, with a logical and concise approach, and a demonstrated commitment to detail.
  • Good understanding of insurance operations (underwriting, products, actuarial, risk management).
  • Fluent in English (Business level both in verbal and written).
  • Ability to integrate in a high-performance team with a high degree of responsibility, self-reliance in managing business pressures.
