Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned DevOps engineer to support the implementation of our digitalization strategy for Group Networks. This role will involve enhancing and operating our OpenShift container platform based on Kubernetes (K8S) and all platform components such as API gateway service, Automation Engine, Kafka messaging bus and MongoDB database.

The successful candidate will have experience in software development automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins, SoapUI, SonarQube) and strong understanding of cloud computing/container deployment and management such as AWS/Azure/OpenStack etc.

We are looking for someone with breadth of knowledge – OS, system administration, networking, infrastructure, storage, distributed computing, cloud computing and experience in virtualization and networking in a container environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing, building and maintaining the software development pipeline automation with its related tool sets to enable Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD).
2. Designing and implementing the infrastructure and operating environment for container based microservices that meet the agreed high availability, performance and security requirements.
3. Designing and developing the test automation to validate the builds in the CI/CD pipeline.
4. Working closely with development teams or other internal teams to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance, security and operability in mind.
5. Supporting and ensuring that the software releases align with the organization's internal software release and deployment process.
6. Facilitating and supporting the troubleshooting or root cause analysis of platform issues or incidents with other internal teams.
7. Proactively monitoring and identifying opportunities for automation, process improvement and architecture simplification for the platforms.
8. Participating in project planning and management activities.
9. Researching and developing prototypes using the latest, most relevant technologies and trends for continuous improvement of the platform.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or relevant discipline.
• At least 5 to 7 years of working experience in DevOps automation, containerization and orchestration.
• Strong knowledge and experience in software development automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins, SoapUI, SonarQube).
• Strong understanding and experience in virtualization and networking in a container environment, such as OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing/container deployment and management such as AWS/Azure/OpenStack etc.
• Breadth of knowledge – OS, system administration, networking, infrastructure, storage, distributed computing, cloud computing.
• Strong understanding and practice of Agile projects (such as SCRUM/KANBAN) and the usage of related tools such as JIRA.
