Kitchen Support Associate

Description:
The role of a Kitchen Support Associate is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our kitchen. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for assisting our skilled cooks in preparing meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meat.

This position demands attention to detail, manual dexterity, and strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues. You will also be expected to stir and heat soups and sauces, wash and store cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes, organize and store food supplies properly in the kitchen, cold room, and storeroom.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist with other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Requirements:
  • A proven track record of working in similar roles, preferably within a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Capacity to multitask and perform under pressure
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Possess a passion for food and a willingness to learn
  • A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
