Main Responsibilities:
  • The selected candidate will need to communicate effectively with the traffic control team and report any issues via radio.
  • They must ensure that all deliveries and collections are completed on time.
  • The driver will review and confirm documentation to prevent errors and delays.
  • Permit endorsements, vehicle maintenance, and housekeeping are essential tasks for this role.
  • In the event of an accident, the driver must immediately notify their superiors and provide detailed information.
  • The driver will be responsible for checking, tallying, and handling cargo safely.
  • They must also take care of company assets and equipment.
  • Lastly, the driver must remain vigilant for any cargo discrepancies and adhere to strict safety protocols.
Required Skills:
  • A valid Class 4/5 license is mandatory.
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Prime Mover driving.
  • Familiarity with PSA Import/Export/Trucking procedures is a necessity.
  • Knowledge of container yard operations is also required.
