Senior Electrical Engineer (Rail Power)

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the power and electrical services system, ensuring safety, reliability, and availability of services meet regulatory requirements.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our rail power team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining a cost-effective maintenance program that meets operational goals for power supply availability and reliability.

The role involves developing and revising work instructions, participating in complex investigative tasks, identifying root causes, and managing comprehensive repair works. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing non-executive staff, including participation in the selection process, handling disciplinary actions, conducting performance reviews, and involvement in staff training and development.

Liaison with external agencies on all matters pertaining to the power supply system and its equipment is also required. Preparation, evaluation, and oversight of maintenance contracts, procurement of necessary tools, spares, and services, and ensuring safe work conditions and access for main line and depot maintenance activities are other key responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in electrical engineering from a recognized university or polytechnic and at least 5 years of practical experience in power distribution and electrical services, preferably in a rail transportation environment.
