Job Title: Mechanical Systems Integration Specialist

Freeform is a rapidly growing technology company pioneering the deployment of software-defined, autonomous metal 3D printing factories worldwide. Our mission is to unlock future innovation by making transformative power of 3D printing accessible to all industries at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop custom opto-mechanical systems for advanced metal 3D printing equipment.
  • Develop and scale processes for building, assembling, and integrating opto-mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with high-power lasers, high-speed cameras, and proprietary hardware/software to integrate novel capabilities.

Our ideal candidate has a solid foundation in optics/optical engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics, accompanied by hands-on experience in opto-mechanical system design, build, assembly, alignment, and integration. Proficiency in CAD tools, including GD&T and detailed drawing documentation related to opto-mechanics, is essential. Additionally, strong mechanical engineering and physics fundamentals are crucial for this role.
