Seeking a Physiotherapy Service Director to lead our physiotherapy services in enabling persons with disabilities to access learning and services, participate in life and work, and achieve a high quality of life.

Job Summary

The postholder will be responsible for providing, developing, and enhancing clinical services in the area of physiotherapy within the organisation. This includes overseeing the clinical skills development of therapists, ensuring that all clinical services and practices are safe, evidence-based, and compliant with clinical governance standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans for clients with complex needs
  • Provide clinical supervision to senior physiotherapists and/or physiotherapists, ensuring adherence to professional standards and best practices
  • Ensure clinical services adhere to relevant professional standards, regulations, and best practices to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective care
  • Manage and optimise the use of clinical resources, including staff, equipment, and facilities, to maximise the impact and reach of services
  • Provide clinical expertise, guidance, and mentorship to the team to enhance their skills and professional development
  • Collect, analyse, and report on relevant data and outcomes to measure the effectiveness of services and drive continuous improvement
Service Development & Improvement
  • Collaborate with heads of department and clinical leads to support and/or lead the development and implementation of the organisation's clinical strategy and service provision ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality and efficient care
  • Contribute or lead in the development and implementation of new programs and services
  • Design and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs/services and make recommendations for improvement
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of services
  • Monitor and analyse clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and audits
Requirements
  • Recognised degree/master in physiotherapy
  • Registered with allied health professional services
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience working as a physiotherapist
