Business Analyst Job Description

The Power Platform Business Analyst role involves collaborating with business users and technical teams to ensure that solutions remain aligned with business needs. The successful candidate will identify opportunities for improvement and optimization, maintain dashboards and workflows, and perform gap analysis.

  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements for enhancements and new features in Power Platform and SharePoint solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams for ongoing system support.
  • Maintain and update dashboards, workflows, and SharePoint sites to meet evolving business needs.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend improvements to processes, automation, and reporting.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support training activities for end-users.
  • Ensure system documentation, knowledge bases, and user guides are kept up to date.
  • Support compliance with IT governance, data integrity, and security policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with exposure to Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Strong skills in requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple requests simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Office 365 ecosystem, including Teams and OneDrive integration.
  • Understanding of SQL, data modeling, or ETL concepts.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent).
