Job Title: Cloud Specialist

At HCL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD., we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Specialist, you will be responsible for formulating and executing a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with organizational goals, leveraging best practices in cloud computing and migration methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cloud migration projects, including On-Prem to AWS migration, On-Prem to On-Prem, Physical to Virtual, and Non x86 replatform migrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements during the workshop session.
  • Design robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures using VMware, AWS, Azure, and Azure VMware Solution tailored to meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership in cloud projects, guiding teams on cloud best practices, architecture, and implementation strategies for multi-cloud environment.
  • Continuously monitor cloud performance, optimizing resources for cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Implement automation and orchestration using tools like Ansible and VMware vRealize Automation to enhance operational efficiency and deployment consistency.
  • Utilize VMware NSX for networking and security within cloud environments, ensuring effective management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure cohesive implementation of cloud solutions.
  • Maintain documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Communicate technical concepts and cloud strategies to stakeholders at all levels, providing updates and insights on cloud initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Programming & Systems Analysis/Science (Computer Studies).
  • 6-8 years of Extensive knowledge of cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and services.
  • 4-6 years in VMware technologies, including vSphere, NSX, and vRealize Automation.
  • 3 years of Strong experience with AWS services and AWS Landing Zone configurations.
  • 3-4 years exp with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
  • Good experience with automation tools like Ansible.
  • Proficient in Red Hat Linux and non-x86 architectures.
