Optometrist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate optometrist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing top-quality eye care services to our patients. The optometrist will work closely with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, vision and specialized eye tests, and pre-operative evaluations.
  • Assist with minor eye surgeries and procedures, ensuring patients are comfortable and well-informed. Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and other medical procedures.
  • Administer prescribed medications and eye drops, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients and their families about eye health, post-operative care, and the proper use of medications and eye care products.
  • Ensure all ophthalmic equipment and instruments are properly sterilized, maintained, and calibrated.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all treatments, procedures, and medications administered.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on ophthalmology or eye care, is an advantage. Those without clinic experience will be given on-the-job training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and comfort patients. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
