About the Role

This position is for a Procurement Specialist, executing contracts in accordance with sourcing goals and acceptable service levels. Analyzes supplier data and price proposals to ensure acceptable pricing, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Procurement Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing Supplier Relationships

    Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply and quality.

  • Identifying Cost Savings Opportunities

    Create local, regional, and global savings opportunities through effective procurement strategies.

  • Supporting Working Capital Targets

    Support the delivery of working capital targets and creditor targets for the site.

  • Ensuring Expenditure Control

    Ensure control and proper responsibility for expenditure of company funds.

  • Developing Business Procurement Strategies

    Develop and implement business procurement strategies for assigned products, consistent with global or local procurement plans.

  • Negotiating Agreements with Suppliers

    Negotiate agreements with suppliers for raw materials within the value of spend.

  • Establishing Project Management Discipline

    Establish project management discipline for identifying and tracking tasks, resources, milestones, and measures for projects.

  • Communicating with Stakeholders

    Communicate with key stakeholders on projects to ensure mutual understanding of objectives and priorities.

Requirements

We are looking for people who have excellent communication skills and experience in procurement. If this is you, we'd like to hear from you.

As a minimum, you must have:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business or Engineering

    With at least 5 years' relevant purchasing experience.

  • Good Understanding of Purchasing Processes and Systems

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Effective Cross-Functional Team Member

    With good conflict resolution skills.

  • Good Team Player

  • Strong Negotiation Skills

  • Customer Focused and Results Driven

  • Proficiency in MS Office
