Research Fellow Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team in an exciting applied research project within the Infocomm Technology cluster. This project addresses the critical challenge of delivering real-time Artificial Intelligence services in Internet of Things networks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating novel edge-assisted offloading strategies for IoT networks, bridging theoretical work with hands-on algorithm design and development. The core responsibility is to build and validate edge-assisted offloading strategies through simulations and live demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in managing the research project to ensure all deliverables are met.
  • Derive theoretical latency and timeliness expressions for cloud-hosted AI services and edge-assisted offloading strategies.
  • Analyze latency and timeliness for cloud-hosted AI services and edge-assisted offloading strategies.
  • Design and develop edge-assisted offloading strategy and associated software APIs.
  • Validate edge-assisted offloading strategy via simulations and live demonstrations.

A Ph.D degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent is required. Independent analytical skills and strong theoretical background in wireless communications or edge computing are advantageous.
