Job Description:

We are seeking an Inspection Specialist to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting products according to the inspection plan and ensuring that they meet customer specifications.

The Inspection Specialist will perform CMM inspections of in-house parts, including repeat and First Article Inspection (FAI) parts, to ensure compliance with the inspection plan and customer specifications. They will also perform CMM Offline Programming to prepare the CMM program for FA inspection and save time.

In addition, the Inspection Specialist will update and monitor the Statistical Process Control (SPC) chart to ensure a stable manufacturing process. They will perform in-process and final QC inspections of in-house parts to ensure compliance with the inspection plan and customer specifications.

The Inspection Specialist will record the inspection results in the inspection checklist and Inspection Method Sheet (IMS). They will also prepare the outgoing inspection report as per customer requirements and move the completed inspected parts to the next operation to ensure parts flow according to the routing step.

If any non-conformance is found, the Inspection Specialist will raise a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) to ensure rejection is recorded. They will schedule a Material Review Board (MRB) meeting to make disposition for the non-conformance parts.

The Inspection Specialist will also monitor the inspection schedule using the dashboard to ensure minimum backlog. They will support and participate in company improvement programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Nitec/Higher Nitec in Mechatronics, Precision Engineering or other relevant qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel functions
  • Good communication skills
