Job Title: Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team.

This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient mechanical environment by completing routine maintenance, repairs, and predictive activities on various equipment.

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct fault-finding and repair of plant systems and equipment.
  • Participate in Permit to Work preparation and risk assessments.
  • Interpret technical drawings and prepare reports on work completed.
  • Collaborate with vendors for minor piping fabrication, modification, and equipment inspection.
  • Rebuild and repair valves, pumps, gearboxes, and drives.
  • Conduct predictive maintenance activities such as vibration monitoring and infra-red thermography.
  • Attend required training sessions and adhere to SHE rules.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A Class 3 driving license is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work 44 hours per week.
  • Preferably with equipment maintenance experience in Water and Waste Water treatment industries or chemical process industries.
