Japanese Language Instructor Position

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Japanese language instructor to deliver engaging, face-to-face language instruction on a regular semester calendar.

This role is ideal for educators passionate about language teaching and capable of sustaining consistent weekly lessons over extended periods.

  • Location: Dover, Singapore
  • Lesson Schedule: Fridays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting face-to-face Japanese language lessons in accordance with the academic calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to learner levels and course objectives
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and support
  • Collaborate with academic coordinators to align teaching outcomes with program standards
  • Uphold a professional and positive learning environment in all sessions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Japanese language teaching experience
  • Possess a valid teaching certificate in Japanese (e.g., Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test, JLTC, or equivalent)
  • Additional relevant academic qualifications (e.g., degree/diploma in Japanese Studies, Education, or Applied Linguistics) are a plus
  • Ability to commit fully to the semester calendar
  • Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
  • Must be able to teach on-site at campus on Fridays

  • Ay2627 Semester 1: April – August 2026 (Vacation: June, September to mid-October)
