Job Title: Aerospace Manufacturing Specialist

The role of Aerospace Manufacturing Specialist involves the development and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes for aerospace components.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications for aerospace components.
  • Expertise in MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) and supply chain activities with experience in repair and assembly process planning.
  • Proficient in SAP and Solumina G8 software for managing processes and integrating with Engine Manual.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain DIEN processes in SAP and Solumina G8.
  • Support the development of new applications for tracking Engine Manual revisions, workflows, change requests, and process plans.
  • Update repair work-instructions (operation & step level) in SOLUMINA G8 for Engine Manual revision.
  • Review and amend repair SOLUMINA G8 process plans as per shopfloor feedback or change request.
  • Inspect manufacturing processes and review Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Assess engineering and manufacturing change incorporation on process routings.
  • Review PPAP documents as per customer-suggested levels.
  • Aware of aerospace quality requirements and standards.
  • Closely collaborate with customers, project teams, and cross-functional teams to develop initiatives.
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers and project teams to meet delivery schedules.
  • Ensure quality deliverables to customers by creating standard processes and procedures.
  • Be agile and quickly adapt to customer business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering with 4-10 years of experience in MRO and aerospace manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of aero-engine components and manufacturing shop floor experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) as well as tolerance stack-up for sub-assemblies and assemblies.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Solumina G8, and Engine Manual for integration and standardization in new applications.
  • Strong knowledge on quality assurance repair process planning and assembly-disassembly procedures.
  • Certified Six Sigma Green or Black belt and Scrum master preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and exceptional leadership qualities.
