  2. Technical Specifications: Prepare detailed technical specifications and design documents for steel structures. Select appropriate materials and steel grades for specific applications.
  3. Compliance and Standards: Ensure that designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AISC, Eurocodes). Review and incorporate industry standards and best practices in design and construction.
  4. Project Management: Oversee the fabrication and erection of steel structures, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with construction teams to resolve design and construction issues.
  5. Quality Control: Conduct inspections and quality control checks on steel components and structures. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of inspections and tests.

  7. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for steel structure components and related activities. Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  8. Safety and Risk Management: Identify potential safety hazards related to steel structures and implement appropriate risk management strategies. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during construction.
  9. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, reports, and project records. Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Several years of experience in designing and managing steel structures in the construction industry.
  • Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro) and design tools.
