Singapore Medline Industries, LP Full time

This role plays a pivotal part in Medline Industries, LP's East Asia region, providing strategic supply chain solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless goods availability and service level targets are met while driving continuous improvements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Establish responsive supply chain processes aligned with the East Asia supply chain model, catering to growing customer demands.
  • Maintain a balanced demand and supply dynamic through collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, regulatory, and supplier teams.
  • Support the Supply Chain Lead in developing an 'end-to-end' supply chain operation flow and solutions.

The role involves leading/participating in system testing of QAD and 3PL WMS for SEA, CN, and KR to ensure effective daily operation support. Additionally, it entails creating system operation guidebooks and maintaining supply chain planning data and parameters.


Demand/Supply Planning

The successful candidate will conduct S&OP on a monthly basis with the sales team to gather data and visualize the impact of variations between customer forecasts and actual demand.

They will propose appropriate plans for replenishment to anticipate supply impact and optimize inventory coverage. The goal is to minimize the build-to-order model for the East Asia business and maximize the use of a third-party warehouse as a Regional Distribution Center to effectively support sales growth and customer demands.


Inventory Management

The ideal candidate will monitor and maintain healthy inventory levels by tracking SOH and open order status through both systems and regular reviews with supply base and 3PL partners.

They will implement systems tools such as MRP on QAD to drive forecast requisition and supply planning, including establishing forecast requisition, DED, etc.

Additionally, they will track and monitor end-to-end lead times of the supply network for Asia-based suppliers and US-based supply from Medline's DCs/factories.


Logistics Operations

The successful candidate will liaison with vendors for timely goods production and coordinate with freight forwarders for order delivery and supply chain visibility (Trace & Track).


Product Costing

Responsibilities include coordinating the launch of target new products with the Sourcing team, vendor, and regulatory team, as well as inputting and maintaining product costing for active products in East Asia.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with vendors in Asia, preferably factories in China, Malaysia, and Indo-China.

They will communicate major costing changes to the sales team on a frequent basis to help update pricing data and win tenders.


Supply Chain Digitalization

As a QAD system key user, the successful candidate will support system testing and set-up with 3PL WMS, support products' phase-in at system level, including basic data analytics and planning parameters' set-up for both SEA and CN markets.

They will assist the Supply Chain Lead in implementing digitization of 'end-to-end' supply chain and driving logistics visibility.


Supply Chain Strategy and Optimization

The ideal candidate will lead supply chain improvement solutions and implement projects for purpose of supply chain strategic transformation and mapping to overcome supply chain challenges and better respond to customer needs.
