The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in securing optimal cost efficiencies while establishing a robust supply chain for the organization. This position encompasses all facets of purchasing operations, including strategic partnerships, contract management, performance assessment, and enhancement of the supplier network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete purchasing cycle (sourcing, RFQ, negotiations, logistics, and delivery follow-ups).
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of purchasing activities (including database upkeep and the alignment of purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices with the finance department).
  • Negotiate pricing, quantities, delivery schedules, terms of service, and contractual agreements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Adhere to established purchasing protocols.
  • Innovate processes to simplify procurement operations.
  • Regularly assess inventory levels.
  • Input and manage data in the ERP system, including the creation and maintenance of supplier, service, and material master data.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Category Managers.
  • Assist with annual inventory audits.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Procurement, accompanied by 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a technical manufacturing or supply chain setting.
  • Experience in the medical devices or pharmaceutical sectors is preferred.
  • Proficient in SAP MM Modules.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong intercultural awareness.
  • Willingness to engage actively in assigned responsibilities.

  • In-depth understanding of cost analysis and reduction strategies.
