Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a mechanical drafter/engineer in a dynamic team, contributing to the development of innovative electrical switchboards.


As a mechanical drafter/engineer, you will be responsible for designing and preparing manufacturing drawings, assembling modular drawings based on panel designs, and performing weight, heat loss calculations and air flow simulations. You will also prepare material order lists for mechanical parts, liaise with vendors for material enquiries, and work closely with the manufacturing and production team.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and preparing manufacturing drawings of electrical switchboards
  • Assembling modular drawings based on panel designs
  • Performing weight, heat loss calculations and air flow simulations
  • Preparing material order lists for mechanical parts
  • Liaising with vendors for material enquiries

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a minimum diploma/NITEC in mechanical engineering. You should also possess knowledge in BIM, VertexG4 and AutoCad M&E 3D drawings, as well as mechanical background with 2D and 3D drafting skills.


Desirable skills include:

  • Proficiency in 3D software, flat pattern development, and PC skills
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and specifications, recognize and identify different types of materials/sheet metals used in switchboards
  • Attention to detail with capability of self-checking for accuracy
