Production Line Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary:

The Production Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing production line. This includes commanding and controlling operations, ensuring daily targets and KPIs are met, and improving operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Command and control production line operations to meet daily targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure parts manufactured meet planner's needs and specifications.
  • Improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity, meeting standard cycle time requirements.
  • Eliminate unnecessary scrap and maintain all machines at optimal performance levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the production line.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Budgeting: Effective budgeting and financial management skills to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Advertising: Basic knowledge of advertising principles and strategies to promote products effectively.

Illustration: Familiarity with illustration software and techniques to create visually appealing designs.

Trend Analysis: Ability to analyze trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Appraisals: Conduct regular appraisals to assess employee performance and provide feedback for growth.

Hardware Maintenance: Knowledge of hardware maintenance and repair to minimize downtime.

Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.

Post-Production: Oversee post-production activities to ensure timely completion of projects.

Motion Graphics: Familiarity with motion graphics software and techniques to create engaging visual content.

Manufacturing: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices to drive production excellence.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Track and analyze key performance indicators to measure production line performance.

Continuous Improvement: Encourage and drive continuous improvement initiatives to stay ahead of industry standards.
