Chief Operations Officer: Trade Settlement Specialist

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Operations and Project Manager to oversee the operational processes related to custody and trade settlement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing operational processes, managing cross-functional projects, and leading key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This role involves supporting recurring processes related to trade settlement and custody, establishing and managing operational processes across custody and trade settlement for our businesses in Singapore and Malaysia.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and driving projects - lead and drive cross-functional projects and new initiatives
  • Lead and own key relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various functions including technology, compliance, etc.
  • Oversee daily processing of trades and ensure on-time settlement of all trades (across financial products including Equity, Fixed Income, and others)
  • Manage post-trade settlement functions such as processing of trade instructions, ensuring instructions are communicated properly, relaying trade status back to clients and troubleshooting of trade queries and issues

Additional responsibilities include undertaking process and system enhancements to achieve optimum productivity and process efficiency and ensuring full compliance to all policies and regulations; manage and ensure effective service delivery to internal and external clients.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a securities/banking-related role, experience working for a smaller fintech or startup, knowledge of securities operations, custody and settlement processes, understanding of product parameters, policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements on domestic and global market operations.
