IT Governance and Compliance Specialist

The Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation brings together six national R&D, clinical translation, and service programmes to advance clinical research and innovation.

As an IT Governance and Compliance Specialist, you will conduct due diligence, compliance evaluations, gap analyses, and risk assessments on services and solutions provided by third-party vendors.

Key responsibilities include analyzing, prioritizing, and classifying risks, drafting risk scenarios, and recommending risk treatment plans.

Regular IT security and cyber risk assessments are performed to ensure compliance with policies, and IT project risk assessments are managed.

Collaboration with internal stakeholders is necessary for governance alignment, and audits and reviews are facilitated.

Work with procurement teams to develop RFQs and RFPs, establish evaluation criteria, and negotiate contracts.

Coordinate investigations of security incidents and implement remediation measures.

Support audit initiatives by collaborating with auditors to ensure thorough support and communication.

Develop and maintain policies related to IT governance and compliance.

Provide security consultancy, technical guidance, solutions, and stakeholder education.

Support security awareness initiatives and ensure key cyber hygiene controls are implemented.

Required skills and qualifications include a diploma or bachelor's degree in IT, information security, cybersecurity, or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in IT/IS, GRC, or cybersecurity roles are necessary.

Experience with IT GRC activities is required.

Knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, hacking, and exploits is essential.

Familiarity with Cloud Service Models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and Cloud Security is necessary.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration are necessary.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.

Highly motivated and eager to learn individuals are preferred.
