At YANGTZE CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING PTE LTD, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Lead to join our team. Job Description:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction departments, to deliver projects that meet the client's expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To involve in the planning and design of mechanical engineering works for building services, ensuring that all technical specifications are met and compliant with industry standards.
  • To prepare tender documents, design and technical specifications for tenders, as well as supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical works, guaranteeing that they are installed correctly and functioning as expected.
  • Able to liaise both end-user customers and vendors and suppliers for project coordination, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • On-site support upon customer request if necessary to have first-hand look for project requirements, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Responsible for all on-site technical and engineering matters, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Determines project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving site problems, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • To read and draw technical drawings, using CAD software such as AutoCAD, to create accurate designs and layouts.
  • Well-versed in Autocad, able to create and edit drawings, and perform other tasks related to mechanical engineering design.
  • Material Procurement, sourcing high-quality materials and equipment to ensure that projects are completed to the required standards.
  • Assist Manager in Project Integration, working closely with the project management team to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly managed and executed.
  • Strong analytical, Problem-solving & Decision-Making Skill, able to analyze data, identify solutions, and make informed decisions quickly and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD software, able to create accurate designs and layouts.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify solutions, and make informed decisions quickly and effectively.
