Job Title: Strategic Marine Insurance Underwriter

Job Description:

As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing underwriting activities and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for marine cargo and transport operator liability products. You will work closely with intermediaries and business partners to deliver high-quality underwriting services, develop innovative insurance solutions, and foster strong relationships.

Key responsibilities include evaluating risk for new business and renewals, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and adhering to underwriting standards and good practice. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with customers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and use it for decision-making
  • Intermediate level understanding of relevant software, including Excel and other departmental software packages
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a related field
