Job Title: Technical Operations Specialist

Reporting to the Management, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Specialist to oversee the technical and operational aspects of our fleet. This is a demanding yet rewarding role that requires exceptional leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe and pollution-free operations by implementing effective HSEQA policies.
  • Manage assigned vessels, including communication with stakeholders, compliance with owners' and charterers' requirements, monitoring of Marine and Technical Operations, daily maintenance and repairs, budgeting and control, surveys, certification, inspections, and docking.
  • Stay updated on international regulations and ensure assigned vessels comply with them.
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to ships.
  • Carry out periodic technical and operational compliance audits and ensure vessel operability.
  • Liaise with the Procurement team for sourcing technical and operational supplies at economical and competitive rates.
  • Propose annual operating budgets for assigned vessels, considering forthcoming repairs, maintenance, statutory, flag, and port requirements.
  • Monitor and review vessel conditions to ensure compliance with Port State Control and Oil Majors regulations.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 1 for General Cargo Vessels for LPG or Bulk Vessels.
  • At least two years' experience handling Foreign Going vessels as a Technical Superintendent.
  • Hands-on experience in constructing and maintaining cargo tanks and propulsion systems is essential.
  • Proficient in PMS, ISM, PSC, Flag & Class requirements.
  • Prioritize continuity and stability; five years' experience at the same company is advantageous.
