Job Title:

Financial Reporting Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute your expertise in financial reporting and regulatory filings. As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of financial reports and regulatory filings for legal entities.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and regulators, partnering with colleagues across different locations and functions globally. This role offers the chance to analyze implications for new business developments, adapt to changes in regulatory frameworks, and monitor financial ratios of legal entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of MAS returns, statutory, and other local regulatory reporting for the entity.
  • Manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and complete close of books and records under US GAAP and Local GAAP.
  • Conduct analytical review on the Balance Sheet and Income Statement, and liaise with other functions (e.g., product and financial controllers, middle office) to identify business drivers for significant variances.
  • Participate in working groups for projects and initiatives impacting the entity.
  • Perform impact/gap analysis on new products, accounting standards, and regulations as required.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and regulators as needed.
  • Maintain high levels of internal control standards.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance or professional qualification (Chartered Accountant, ACCA, CPA).
  • Post-qualification accounting experience of at least 4 years in a public accounting firm and/or in a financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of MAS returns, statutory, and other local regulatory reportings.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and US GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle complex tasks independently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
