Peak Ocean PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for independently determining and preparing Requisitions for marine mechanical components and equipment required in a project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise
    • Understand specifications and requirements for marine mechanical packages and equipment, including Essential and Emergency Generator, Non API pumps, Fire water pumps, Garco pumps, Inert Gas Generator package, low and High Foam Expansion Packages, etc.
    • Responsible for Mechanical Marine vendor packaged equipment in compliance with applicable International codes (such as IMO, SOLAS) Classification Rules, ASME, etc.
  • Technical Specifications and Requisitions
    • Independently develop technical specifications/standards and Requisitions for marine packaged equipment and system such as Essential and Emergency Generator, Non API pumps, Inert Gas Generator package, low and High Foam Expansion Packages, etc.
  • Bid Evaluation and Order Execution
    • Independently evaluate the technical aspects of bids received from suppliers and conclude assessment to the bid.
    • Assist in placing and executing the orders.
  • Quality Assurance and Technical Support
    • Independently review Supplier documents (such as data sheets, drawings) for their completeness, accuracy and compliance.
    • Provide technical/engineering support/visit and advice for quality work at supplier shop and Construction/Commissioning work at site.
  • Problem Resolution and Compliance
    • Independently resolve technical issues using expert knowledge and technical know-how that may arise during the execution of package engineering, fabrication and post delivery.
    • Ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrate high standard of ethical behaviour.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector, preferable
  • Experience in FPSO, off-shore application
  • Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects
  • Shall be conversant with design standards and International Industry Codes such as ASME, NFPA, International codes (such as IMO, SOLAS) Classification Rules and regulations, etc.
