Firmware Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the firmware development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing firmware for networking and IoT products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Firmware Design and Development: Design and develop embedded firmware for networking and IoT products, ensuring seamless integration with hardware components.
  • Enhance Existing Firmware: Enhance existing firmware by integrating new features and improving performance, adhering to industry standards.
  • Collaboration with Hardware Team: Collaborate with the hardware team to drive hardware/firmware integration and system validation, ensuring optimal product performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal teams and customers, addressing queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science: A degree in electronic engineering or computer science is essential for this role, along with relevant work experience.
  • Embedded Linux Experience: Strong expertise in embedded Linux development, including drivers, kernel builds, and other related areas.
  • Networking and Wireless Protocols: Experience with networking and wireless protocols such as Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, and KNX RF is highly desirable.
  • SDKs and Programming Languages: Familiarity with SDKs from Broadcom, Qualcomm, MTK, or Sigma, along with strong programming skills in C/C++.
  • Bootloaders and Firmware Update Methods: Knowledge of bootloaders, firmware update methods, and ARM-M/ARM-A architectures is necessary for this role.
