The primary objective of this role is to safely operate a road tanker with a maximum capacity of 28,000 liters of hazmat liquid. The transport driver loads fuel products such as gasoline, distillates, and lubricants.
The responsibilities include:
- Operating the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner while respecting customers' property, other motorists, and the environment
- Adhering to company policies and procedures, safety regulations, and environmental stewardship
- Performing regular vehicle inspections in accordance with company requirements
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the company-owned vehicle
- Utilizing onboard electronic devices to receive dispatched orders and record deliveries
- Loading products at designated facilities while adhering to facility policies
- Delivering bulk fuel or lubricants to customers and verifying load accuracy
- Participating in safety meetings and training sessions as directed by the company
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Class 4 driving license
- At least 2 years of prior commercial driving experience, preferably in fuel or hazmat tanker operations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Strong reading, computer, math, and verbal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service
